Rescue 8 is a 2 person, Basic Life Support (BLS) unit that provides emergency treatment and transportation on medical calls. In addition to treating and transporting the sick and injured, Rescue 8 responds to all structure fires with Engine 8 for additional manpower and fire fighter capabilities.  2 EMT personnel that are cross-trained as Firefighters staff Rescue 8.

Rescue 8 is currently assigned a custom built 2005 Marquee Type 3 Ambulance. 

Rescue 8 features an all aluminum interior in the patient compartment to make the entire area “bio safe.”  Rescue 8 also is equipped with high efficiency dual air conditioner unit to keep the inside constantly cool in the hot Arizona summers, and a high efficiency filtration system that filters the air inside the ambulance once every 45 seconds.
