The remaining 5% of Station 8's calls involve Technical Rescue. Engine and Support 8 respond together to these incidents. Some of these calls for example are:

* Trench Rescues * Confined Space Rescues
Members from Station 8 are also part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) task force. AZTF-1 was part of the nationwide response to the Oklahoma City Bombing and the events of 9-11-2002. These specially trained personnel receive additional training for these mass-casualty incidents.
